MEET DR. NEKTARIOS NIKOLOPOULOS

Dr. Nektarios Nikolopoulos is a board-certified Medical Doctor and the Founder & Manager of Primary Care Associates, Greece. Dr. Nikolopoulos has been practice medicine for more than 20 years, he is committed to preventative medicine, emergency medicine, Maritime & Offshore medicine. Dr. Nikolopoulos specializes in acute illness care, adult medicine including hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol and disease prevention, and urgent care. He lives with his wife (Gioula Barla M.D. – Eye Surgeon )  and 3 children in Marousi .In his free time, Dr. Nikolopoulos enjoys travel and spending time with his family.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Dr. Nikolopoulos completed his medical degree at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, GR. After receiving his medical degree, he served his family medicine residency at Nikaia General Hospital,GR. During his time there, he served as the Vice President of the Family Practice Resident Association. After receiving his Family Medicine Board Certification, he served NHS as attending physician. Dr Nikolopoulos participated in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation -New York Hospital Queens Hellenic American Emergency Medicine Exchange (HAEME) program. During New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ) Fellowship Program he successfully completed A.T.L.S , A.C.L.S. & P.A.L.S  Certifications . He became certified Petroleum Doctor at Haukeland University Hospital in Norway. He serves as Fleet Medical Advisor in Olympic Shipping and Management S.A/Onassis Group. Dr. Nikolopoulos established the Maritime Advanced Life Support (M.A.L.S.®) Program. Its goal is to teach a simplified and standardized approach to critically ill seafarers.
